Ms. Phillips is a graduate of University of California at Los Angeles and Pepperdine School of Law. During law school, Ms. Phillips worked for the Los Angeles District Attorney and the United States Attorney in the U. S. Virgin Islands in criminal prosecution where she was able to study and learn the motivations and legal strategies of criminal prosecutors. After becoming a licensed attorney, Ms. Phillips began her law career as a public defender where she had an outstanding record of 30 percent of cases dismissed after preliminary hearing.
Ms. Phillips then began working in the civil arena where she gained experience in civil litigation relating to business law and contracts, construction disputes, fraud, personal injury, and real estate related matters. Ms. Phillips has trial experience in construction disputes, criminal defense, easements, personal injury, property line disputes, real estate transactions, fraud, and breach of contract. However, she is also an advocate of trying to settle disputes without trial using mediation and arbitration which is less costly, less time consuming, and less stressful to you, the client.
